In the last few months there were many changes to the site that you may have or may have not noticed. We’ve replaced the main site with the IPB forum software, but due to the less popularity we returned to our normal websites. Due to this we replaced our webmaster and got back on the track where we stopped. However we are working to get everything back on track. (more…)
We would like to inform you that we’re adding a plethora of new features in ZeuAPP. One of them include system information feature, fetching updates for installed applications on PC if they are on the ZeuAPP list, and a lot more features. If you have any idea on what new feature to add, please leave comment here or go to our main site and leave it feedback section if you want to elaborate more on it.
We’re glad to inform you, that from today you have possibility to post reviews/testimonials from within Zeusoft blog. If you go to http://blog.zeusoft.net/review-zeuapp/ you will be presented with a form where you need to enter your review of our application. As the time goes and we release more products this page will get sister pages about other products. The link will always be http://blog.zeusoft.net/review-productname/. This way we can quickly present the reviews on the download page thus allowing people to see recommendations from other users.
So you probably wonder how it could be 2.0, are we crazy the last version was 1.7.5? We decided to name this version 2.0 because we added plenty of changes.
First concepts of ZeuAPP were made sometime back in 2009 November or December. The first version 1.2 was released sometime in January. ZeuAPP is short for: Zeusoft’s Application for Program Packaging. Me and Ivan thought of it as an effective answer of using free software for a lot of stuff and eventually helping on reducing the piracy rate. After some months in March we got the review from Addictive Tips which launched the ZeuAPP in the orbit. After that it caught up the attention of Lifehacker (Part of Gawker) the tech news website. From that moment the Zeusoft and ZeuAPP grew massively. ZeuAPP has been downloaded more than 2.500.000 million of times. It got featured in various Internet shows, podcasts, and website reviews ranging from everyday blogs to the Microosft MVP website. We have yet to see what the future holds for us. You have our promise that we will listen every time to your suggestions and make the ZeuAPP just the way you want it! Thank you for giving us your trust.
We’re proud to announce the release of the ZeuAPP 1.7.5!
From next version and forward we will provide the changelog with each release specifying what has been changed and fixed. For 1.7.5, we will add the changelog to ZeuAPP blog page.
So what’s new?
ZeuAPP size has been reduced! It’s portable now. No more installation. When you download it you’ll get auto-extracting SFX file which is only 230kb! When extracted the size will be 462kb! That’s less than half of megabyte! Plus now you can take it anywhere with you, just zip-up the ZeuAPP files again and you’re good to go to any PC.
We’ve introduced the feature for MySoftware tab in which you can add your own icons!
We’ve also made the ZeuAPP more effective.
New languages: We’ve decided to implement the new languages in this version of ZeuAPP. However we need your help. Edit the apps.xml file and change the software descriptions and versions to your own language. When you’re finished zip it and send it to: admin[at]zeusoft.net. We’ll then release the edition of ZeuAPP with the submitted language. Help us with it, so we could help you!

We will be releasing the version 1.7.5 with different languages. The list which needs to be edited so that we could get the app for different languages is apps.xml. The menu editing and the internal application translation will be handled by us.
We would like to note you that the planned update of ZeuAPP 1.6 is currently in progress as planned in the extended support plan for older ZeuAPP versions. All the programs version and links will be updated by the end of this Tuesday, and the users of ZeuAPP 1.6 will be automaticly offered on the program start to download the new version of ZeuAPP. As you already maybe knew,or didn’t knew, Zeusoft founders are from the Republic of Serbia. However as you all know, every developer shares the dream to have his software used by people and praised by professionals. A lot of our country software authors are unknown rather then being promoted in the media and magazines. That’s why we came with idea to create Serbian Software Developer and Promotion Union so we could help promotion and spreading the word about Serbian software. Even the small number of people can be a great power when united together to work for same cause. Let’s help making the Serbian software scene more alive.
